Molly Rice is an award-winning educator and has held residencies in teaching poetry, film, and theatre in North Carolina, as well as Europe. She is the author of Mill Hill (Finishing Line Press, 2012). Her work has been published in journals and anthologies, including The Stinging Fly, Dublin Ireland. Her first full collection is forthcoming by Press 53.

To fill the time, my wee family created two ground wreaths for the passer-bys in our neighborhood. This poem encapsulates this effort.
